What is it?

Hack Boğaziçi is a 24-hour Hackathon where you will develop applications of Image Recognition, NLP and Machine Learning and create a working application It will be organized by Boğaziçi University IT Club Compec for the third time this year

How do I participate?

To compete at Hack Bogazici, you must form a team of 2-4 people and fill out a registration form as a team here. Your team should consist of minimum 2 people to be eligable to participate.
Who can participate?

Everyone,

Undergraduate, Graduate, PhD Students or maximum 3-4 year work experience. If more experienced, do not hesitate to apply. As long as we have room, we will try to accept all of the teams.
What will the subject of Hack Boğaziçi?

Creating a live and demonstrable prototype which can tackle problems about AI, Image recognition, NLP and Machine Learning according to the theme that will be announced before the start!
Can I use whatever technology that I like?

There is no limit on what you can use. Go all in!
What are you expecting from us in the end?

We are expecting to see a working prototype of your idea.
Can I change my team on the event day?

No, you can't.
Do we need to stay in the venue during the event?

Yes.
Which language will be used for presentations?

English
How long will my presentation take?

Every team will have 7 minutes of presentation time and there will be 2 minutes of Q&A.
Will every Team make presentation?

No, only those who made a working prototype will make presentation.
Which criteria will you use?
Throughout the event, the judges and mentors will observe your work, your approach to the problem and your solution and regarding these criteria:
- How the solution is related to the theme and problem
- Creativity
- Usefulness
- Presentation / Demonstration
What we should bring with ourselves?

We can provide electricity, internet connection, and food. You should bring your own PC and relevant components.
Will there be food?

Yes, we will provide food and drinks :)
Can we apply individually?

No, you have to apply as a team.
